  • Fuel is Different Today

Fuel (gas, diesel and biofuel)is more susceptible to contamination than in years past. Why? There are a number of reasons…here are a couple of them:

Fuel is processed differently, allowing more usable fuel to be created from a barrel of oil. This is good, but it can also affect the fuel’s stability over time. Simply put, molecules that have been cracked to create more usable fuel want to rejoin, which adds to the creation of sludge that can be pumped into your tank.

  • Who Uses CamVacUSA

If you work with or sell fuel, you need CamVacUSA’s visual inspection capabilities. It gives you the whole tank perspective, not just a sample from the fill port which is the cleanest part of the tank. It doesn’t matter if you are a low or high volume user, store small or large amounts of fuel, all storage environments need to be clean. There are many ways that contamination can enter your gas or diesel tank; in fact, it is nearly impossible to avoid it.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

What is CamVacUSA?

CamVacUSA is a service company in the business of cleaning and reconditioning (polishing) fuels in their storage environment. CamVacUSA visually inspects inside fuel storage tanks and decontaminates the tank and fuel. We can provide a fully digitized visual recording of the process, plus full volume accountability for business verification.

Why does my fuel and its environment need cleaning and annual maintenance?

Water, sludge, loose rust particles, bacteria and other debris all collect or grow in the bottom of fuel storage tanks. They mix with the fuel and are pumped into engines, equipment, generators, etc. The contaminants can decrease equipment efficiencies, clog filters, cause injector failure, pollute the environment, and degrade the integrity of storage tanks.

Why does my diesel fuel need reconditioning (polishing)?

Diesel fuel degrades naturally over time, and as a result, multiple contamination issues can arise. One of the major issues with modern fuels is due to the re-polymerization and the agglomeration of large fuel clusters that form into a solid dark substance. The composition of these clusters consists of paraffin and asphaltene molecules. The clumping of these fuel molecules results in degraded fuel which, in turn, can clog filters, cause a loss of horsepower, and in a worst case scenario cause equipment malfunction or breakdown.

Why is CamVacUSA's system the best method to clean my fuel and its storage environment?

CamVacUSA's exclusive patented technology provides a visual inspection using a high quality camera with a large field of view. CamVacUSA provides a CD to validate the process by showing the condition of your fuel in the storage tank, before, during and after the service. The process removes only the contaminants so you don’t lose the "good" fuel in the process.  Additionally, CamVacUSA offers the CFC™ Program for filling stations and Annual Maintenance Services for other types of businesses to ensure your fuel is always ready.

What is the Cleaner Fuel for Consumers (CFC™) Program?

The Cleaner Fuel for Consumers (CFC™) Program is an annual preventative maintenance program with CamVacUSA for fueling stations. Participation in the CFC™ Program is identified by the placement of Green Drop Label on the fuel pumps.  Consumers can easily recognize the Green Drop and will have confidence that the fuel they are purchasing is pumped from a storage tank that is decontaminated on a regular basis. The CFC™ Program is unique because CamVacUSA's patented system and process itself is unique and also includes promotional and marketing assistance.

What type of fuel can CamVacUSA clean?

CamVacUSA cleans most types of fuels including various grades of gasoline, ethanol, diesel and biodiesel. In addition, reconditioning of diesel fuel, also known as fuel polishing, can be provided when necessary.

Does CamVacUSA clean the fuel in any type of storage environment?

CamVacUSA operates in most above ground and below ground fuel storage tanks, regardless of tank construction materials. Additionally, CamVacUSA technicians can access stored fuels in most generators, vehicles and equipment.

How do I know that my fuel and its storage environment have been properly cleaned?

The patented visual inspection ability of the CamVacUSA system allows the certified technician to thoroughly examine the fuel and tank to insure that the contaminants have been removed and that the returned fuel is clean. In addition, CamVacUSA creates a validation CD of the cleaning process of each tank.

Is there a way I can purchase the tool that CamVacUSA uses to remove the cap from my underground storage tank?

Yes! You can purchase the T-Wrench tool (shown below) by calling CamVacUSA at 877-822-FUEL (3835).
